PhotoChain

Public image provenance registry that cryptographically links images to their original creators.

ProvenanceCryptographyWeb
Overview

PhotoChain is a public registry that gives images a tamper-evident origin story. It links each image to its creator with cryptographic proofs so authorship survives the trip across the internet.

The Problem

Digital images are stripped of authorship the moment they're shared. There is no tamper-evident way to verify who originally made an image — credit gets lost, manipulation goes unchecked, and ownership becomes a guessing game.

Process

Build
story.

Building core registration, proof, and verification flows in Lovable with a dark, editorial design system that treats provenance as a first-class object — not an afterthought tucked into metadata.

Image

Registry interface

Supabase powers the backend: PostgreSQL for the registry, Auth for creator identity, and Storage for source assets. Each registration produces a cryptographic fingerprint paired with a creator-signed claim.

Image

Proof verification flow

GitHub-connected Claude Code workflows wire live backend logic to the front-end, letting verification, lookup, and proof generation evolve together as the schema matures.
